Hi, I am building my own pond and have acquired a roll of HDPE 1.5 mm liner but need it fusion welded. Is there any companies that would do this sort of thing I am in the south Gloucestershire area. Thanks.

Welcome!

Here is a good step by step on how to seam liner if you want to try it yourself.

I believe HDPE can't be seamed like EPDM. I'm pretty sure it has to be "welded" together, as the OP stated. I wouldn't try using EPDM seaming techniques on HDPE. The materials are totally different.

I hope you find someone that can do that for you.
My fear is if you can even find someone it might be cost prohibitive. It might just pay to get a new liner and use the one you have for something smaller. Maybe make a stream that flows into a pond.
For my recent bog build I used HDRPE which is similar to your HDPE, but is reinforced. I bought mine online from American Talapia. A 12 ft. X 20 ft. piece with free shipping was under $150 (U.S.). I believe you are not in the U.S., so I don't know if the shipping would still be free.

Yeah, I figured you just overlooked the type of material. Probably just meaning to add a quick helpful response.
I just wanted to make sure that the wrong seaming kit wasn't used.
Years ago, my novice self seemed two PVC liners. Not knowing that I used a seam kit for EPDM, a failure was eminent. It was disastrous of course. Then later I also discovered how terrible PVC liners were in general. They get brittle in a matter of months and puncture very easily.
Live and learn... That's why I like to share my experiences with new ponders. Trying to prevent heartache and wasted money.
