Hi I'm LAron from Virginia. Spent 20 years in Hawaii and 3 years in Vegas. In my 40s.

Figured I shouldn't be rude and post pics of my stuff on others threads.

I made my first pond around 19 years old and 20 somthing years later I've made around 20 somthing ponds.

Nothing special but I love my babies anyways lol....

All nice ponds! So you made the swimming pool one too? What did you use to line it with?

I'm currently doing the back yard on a house I bought in 2018.

I'm about 18 months into it.

Attempting to build a massive pond with a cement bridge going through it with an outdoor theater ect.

In theory Im attempting to make a 100k backyard with my hands and a shovel for 7k

No BS I've dug that 25x15 and 6 foot deep area by shovel. No machines allowed!!!!

Very personal to me to do it all myself..

I get it..I'm weird...

But my back likely wont be able to do this kinda stuff any more once in my 50s...

Honestly it's hard now and I've been injured a time or 2 in past 18 months..

So this will likely be "my masterpeice" so by my hands feels important

Concrete in 2009. Still doing well.

Crazy is I made it for my 8-15 year old kids 11 years ago...

Now they are all grown and that's my grandson taking a dip!!!!!

I feel a tear forming lol

My first 10 years used mostly liners and bath tubs or home depo pond tubs..

Last 10 years mostly cement.

That black one with the frog is 2007 and my first cement attempt. I found 2 tires and a old bathtub at dump and went to town lol

Nice! That’s a lot of work!

Go slow with adding fish! That’s a lot to add at one time. If you don’t already have a test kit, I would recommend that you get a liquid test kit so you can monitor your water quality. And add plants! They will also help with water quality and give the fish a place to hide.
