Not at all. Perfectly natural. They actually help because they eat decomposing organic matter like leaves. They are a great treat for your fish. They are commonly found at the pet store as freeze dried fish treats.

hqjohn it means your pond is healthy, doing the natural thing, bugs, worms, etc.

They seem to show up pretty fast too.
