Little red worm

Has anyone notice any of the little red worm in there filter?

No but I get these 1/4" brown or black ones in my filter and skimmer.

commonly known as bloodworms...theyre midge fly larvae!!...harmless, and your fish will gobble them up!!!

So i don't need to worry? Will there effect the bacteria or filtering?

Not at all. Perfectly natural. They actually help because they eat decomposing organic matter like leaves. They are a great treat for your fish. They are commonly found at the pet store as freeze dried fish treats.

hqjohn it means your pond is healthy, doing the natural thing, bugs, worms, etc.

They seem to show up pretty fast too.
