Minnow question

Hi can I have Fathead or cloud minnows outdoors in indiana? Im getting a pond soon, and I was wondering if any of those species can be kept outdoors if the pond doesn't get fully frozen.

Fatheads (also known as rosy reds), yes, for sure. Mine are thriving near Chicago.

Cloud minnows probably not, unless you have a deep pond.

My Fathead/Rosy Red minnows have done very well outside in the pond for the last 2 and 1/2 years, you should be fine.
