What a welcome entrance ,it invites you to come sit down and wait for owners to get home if they are not there .You need a pop of color .Something bright to bring the eye to the area

UPDATE: Still loving my pond, but my fish are starting to go missing! Out of the 7 I started with, I now have 4 left (plus two babies). Two went missing while I was on vacation last week.

Interestingly, I have a motion sensitive camera/doorbell that didn't pick up any related activity, but a small animal may not have been large enough to trigger it. My best guess is a raccoon since we saw one near the pond several weeks ago.

Any thoughts or suggestions much appreciated.

raccoons usually make a mess around the pond .Get a cheap security camera .They are dirt cheap now .I just bought a small cube one off ebay and it is motion activated.Raccoons will sometimes mark the area with poop or pee

@Sparky - if you have raccoons, they'll hop the wall no problem. Ours scale 5 foot fences and crawl up the sides of our trash cans, open the lids and lower themselves inside.

@vestaviascott - hmmm... maybe a net? But a raccoon may find his way under. They are pretty dang sneaky.

Coyotes and cats. Ground level not an option. Not here anyway.
