Ive noticed several of my goldfish chasing another Goldfish. Its unclear if the Fish is in distress. They appear to nibble at it??? Any ideas??

Im not sure. At first i thought the Fish was in distress and the others were supporting it in the water. In fact i was going to get my net and take it out but its swimming fine now.

I'd guess spawning. It can look rather frenetic or as if a group is ganging up on one fish.

Spawning time can be stressful to watch. When several males are chasing one tired female, they sometimes push her around. I have had one die after spawning before. Usually though, everything works out fine. If you don't want a bunch of additional fish, many on here withhold food so the fish will eat the eggs, keeping the population under control. Typically, a few are good at hiding and will survive. Finding a couple of baby fish is fun!!!!!
