Hi..

what do people do with their dead lily flowers?

Does the plant reuse nutrients from the flower after it dies? If so should I leave it or dead head?

Many thanks

Do you mean waterlilies? You can remove the spent blooms if it's convenient for you to do so. I'm able to get in my pond every other week or so and remove the old blooms as well as any dead or dying pads. If you leave them, they will eventually just decay in the pond - your choice. But no, the plant doesn't need the old blossoms for any purpose.

It makes no difference to the plant. I have gotten lazy I just leave mine on the plant they rot, go away and feed the snails.
