14 Goldfish need a new home (free!) - DC Metro Area

We are in need of a home for our 14 goldfish from our pond. We have decided to fill in the pond after many issues and not having the resources to repair it.

The photos are of the last time we cleaned out the pond in April ‘21. Fish seem healthy!

If you can’t take them, I’d appreciate any tips on other resources on ho to rehome them.

Some areas have koi / goldfish rescues and hobbyist clubs for water gardens, koi and goldfish.......that might be an option for help. There are also many fish groups on Face Book, so you could try that as well.

@sissy who is a member here lives in VA so maybe she will show up here and know someone who might want them. I hope you can find good homes for them.

Maybe contact pond builders in your area (there are quite a few I think) and see if a new pond owner could take them or maybe they would know of someone?
