JW, I want to see pics of Hawaii! I've been there once when I was in the military, arrived at dusk and left the next morning just after day break. So pretty much I only saw a very small portion in the dark. What I did get to see during the day was from the air.
Todd, those are sulcata Tortoise, we have a baby one for a pet, that's why there are multiple pics of them, the largest one that they had was about 50# they can get over 100# so those are only half grown or smaller, Dozer our baby is larger than a golf ball but smaller than a standard baseball. to give you some kind of idea how little ours is. lol
Sissy, the bird is Edgar, he's a 12 year old Hyacinth McCaw, Me and Edgar go way back, I knew this bird before he ended up at Global wildlife. He's really sweet, talks, gives kisses and very loving. Hyacinth's are fairly rare and beautiful birds. Edgar and the Tortoises are really the only two species of animals that aren't allowed to free roam, however some of the other animals do have to be kept seperated, such as the kangaroo's, the minature donkey's and one of the rare species of anelope. But unlike a zoo the Wildlife center does provide plenty of roaming space for all there animals, Not like a zoo at all. There are 100% no predator animals on the premises but they do say that they have a few foxes that have found there way onto the property and they don't seem to bother any of the animals so they allow the little colony to live there, also other animals that live on the property that weren't introduced. Squirrels gray/fox, cottontail rabbits, Canadian geese, wild turkeys, and mallard ducks, these can come and go freely so they exsist but aren't actually suppose to be there.
