Just wondering what other critters all you ponders have running around your property? I've seen a couple of pics of poeples dogs standing around thier ponds, so i figured i'd start up a thread. Post pics of the other critters in your life.

My first child was my boxer, chief. I got my baby boy the week of my 21st birthday. He was from a breeder in Kansas City, he was a runt, and had a fractured leg when he was born. I got him for free, just to take him off thier hands. .

Vets said that he may have to have his leg amputated within his first year because he would probably end up with so much arthritis in it, he ended up being one of the fastest dogs in the apartment complex I lived it at the time! A few times in the first year he'd jump off the couch wrong and limp around for a few days, but has been fine for years.

and then theres Hazel, I kind of had to adopt her when I adopted my fiance, :squint: She's a 8 year old mutt, who doesnt listen to anything anyone says (hopefully she does better at training our children than she does at training that dog)

also, in the pictures is my little boy (who is more like an animal than a dog, and my little girl, who is 4 months now)

first one, dharma, a fews days after we brought her home, and chief, laying on me watching tv.

this second one is pretty old, i think it was danes 3rd birthday, but i love the picture, chief was trying to catch the bubbles.

more recent pic of dane and chief playing fetch.

Chief and Hazel curled up in bed, a rare occasion to see them near eachother, she's old and well he's getting there too, but he is still way to playful for her liking.

I love the white!

I had to dig a little deeper to find these pictures, but your white one reminded me of this picture, My aunt had this white boxer when I first got chief. and I found this other one of him on my lap, man he was small... and so was I, lol.

We have 2 outdoor cats that roam the yard. Abercrombie is just too pretty to let anyone touch her but does find some interesting places to nap. Totally freaked me out when I saw her leg under the neighbors shed until she moved. I guess she lost her ruby slippers!

Malak said:
JW, I'm allergic. I would not last 4 hours at your house. It's Malak-Proof. lol

Me too! I might last 4 hours, but I'd be alseep somewhere. My ex's parents had a cat, and everytime we went over there, the frst thing her mother would do was pass me the bottle of bennadryl, I'd take 2 of those and fall asleep 30 minutes later. I dont know why, but that stuff always knocks me out, helps me breathe, but knocks me out in the proccess. Kind of defeats the purpose of going over for a visit if I fall asleep the whole time.

Same here - benedryl is one of my best sleep aids. Sometimes it can have the reverse effect and make you jumpy though. Probably a mood thing.

Claritan or Zyrtec may work better for staying awake.

I usually have one of those at home, for when I'm mowing and stuff, I get really bad around cats and around pollen and well, pretty much everything outside. Hard to think I used to make a living in tree trimming and removal, and landscaping. But the older I get, the worse my allegies seem to get. lol.

I'm actually have issues when I play with the dogs too much too, but I love them too much to not have them, and he knows when ive had enough and tell him to go lay down.

If both of you are allergic to cats or dogs, I would highly recommend staying away from the following animals, Chinchilla's, Ferret's, cocktail's, and cockatoo's. All four of these shed microscopic particles that can cause severe allergic reactions and can cause breathing problems.
Chinchilla's are one of the worst, Their hair is so fine that it can stay floating in the air for hours once released.
Ferrets, have a oil on the hair and skin that when breathed can cause shortness of breath and may even take medications to reduce the lung inflammation
Cockatiels and Cockatoo's have a shell casing around the new feathers that is VERY irritant, It breaks down to a very fine dust similar to sheetrock dust.
I have been around animals all my life and had asthma when I was young. These are four of the worst five animals I have had issues with. Another I doubt either of you will have close dealing with is a Alpaca. Don't go around them if they are sheering them for wool!
Thought I would pass this on for those of you that do have allergic reactions, I have had my dealings and I'm not really allergic to them but I do have breathing issues when exposed to them over time due to scar tissue in my lungs from asthma, and pneumonia.
