goldfish are slightly more winter tolerant than koi. so if your koi can stay out so can the goldies. there are a few fancy goldfish that would need indoor wintering. but your typical pond varieties like commons, comets, sarassas, & shubunkins are all winter ready as long as your ponds depth is adequate for your winters.
** for any water change or addings under 10% i dont bother dechlorinating either. i do however ," trickle fill". meaning i just turn the hose on lightly.

When adding a little water to my pond to help water level, will adding chlorine neutralizer hurt my fish that are already in my pond?
Will not hurt to add. Several years ago I had a lady come in to the store and said she overdose her tank with stresscoat and it killed all the fish in her tank, she said she used tablespoons instead of teaspoons. I had my doubts but wanted to find out if that was the case or not. I took a bag of tank water added a feeder guppy and put two table spoons of stress coat in the bag, no problem, so I figured lets see if they can handle more, so I added about 4 more table spoons, at the end of the day the fish was still doing fine. So I dumped the rest of the bottle in the bag. I got distracted and forgot the poor fish in the bag and left him there overnight. The next morning I saw the bag and figured oh well I messed that test up. BUT to my surprise not only was the fish still alive, there were about 20-25 baby guppies swimming in the bag with her. I still doubt that the stresscoat killed her fish, I think she shocked them with to cold or to hot of water when she did her water change. trick is to add water slowly and close to the same temp. if possible.

Thank you DrCase. Do you have just Koi or goldfish too. If you do have goldfish do you bring them in during the winter?

I only have Koi i never bring them in and don't worry about it if they ice over for a while

Glad y'all mentioned to add water slowly. When I add, I usually turn the hose on "full" so will need to stop doing that!
