Folks out west of me have not had the better luck of a warmer Winter.

This blizzard reminds me of the big blizzard my area had in 2010 (or 2009, can't remember now, dang memory)... Cows were walking over fences due to massive snow drifts leading to many lost and frozen on the roads... No good.

Ranchers really are the ones that have a hard time with heavy snows.

Cows aren't very smart, either. They don't know enough to eat snow for water.
My relatives in Saskatchewan sometimes have to rescue their cows from the fields because they get thirsty, even when they're snowed in.

Yep, unfortunately, I think we've breed the smarts out of cows. ;)

Now... Goats... I love me some Nanny goats.:p ... Goats are like a prong horn (antelope) except tastes better. Goats eat snow for their water, old dried tumbelweeds for a little nutrition with maybe a little hay (don't want to over feed a goat and its easy to do)... Pretty smart, easy going critters... except... for the Billies... ugh, I hate Billies... don't want anything to do with them... ;) :D
