are you building it above ground as I have no clue why you need that other stuff like wood and brick .We just dig a hole put in underlayment and liner in most cases .
mostly in the gound but a want it pritty square and i have pritty soft soil so a fort it a made a frame and filld it with bricks it would make it that bit stronger if you under stand me
mine is rectangle shaped and I did that because I wanted to build a bridge to keep the water more shaded and i used retaining wall block .My soil is clay and i used an inside wall of concrete block and then backfilled with dirt and the the outside wall is retaining wall block .Mine is out of the ground just enough to give you a place to sit on the wall and enjoy the fish from 3 sides
I guess if you are doing the work it would not be so bad as my pond only cost me about 200 dollars to do it this way .You can go on you tube and there are lots of ideas for above ground and half above ground ponds .I like the half above because it gives you a place to sit when you are out by the pond
yes it is made like the log baskets I made and it is taller than me at just over 7 feet high
I wanted them to look similar .I have built everything that is on my property including 4 bridges
