It was sad, my post seemed glib and wasn't intended that way. I am glad they were able to recover many of them.
I didn't take it that way. Since we started doing bees I am so much more aware of what is involved and what a huge loss that is for that family. This is when, if commercial, your bees finally pay for themselves, ow you are just putting bucks into caring for them.

Yep that was a terrible tragedy for all those poor bees. Glad they were able to save some and feel bad for the family that loans the bees out to pollinate our crops. That happened about 40miles south of us. Glad I wasn't anywhere near that area as traffic was backed up forever!

Well, I put my bees in the wine cooler because it has a higher humidity and they all hatched, while in there.
I opened the door and a bunch flew out but I was able to catch a few and put them outside.
Some beekeeper I turned out to be...:shifty:

I hope the bees in the house here are able to find their way to the greenhouse.

Yes, jw.
The wine cooler is the same size as a fridge so, it's not going anywhere.

My wife is allergic to bee stings, so I'm not very popular right now.

EEE Gads open all the windows and doors! At least they will not be active at night while you are sleeping.

No chance of covering the windows, but I'll leave a light on in the greenhouse and the door to it open through the kitchen.
Gotta go..lol.
