Very pretty pond and setting. Love the cabin look. The back wall of the pond is interesting as well. Those pickeral rush are really blooming this year for you!

Very pretty! Love all the blooms you have going there. Like your slope rock wall, I did the same, just different rocks. The problem now is wasps move into the rocks off and on. I have to keep an eye out for nests.

not just wasp addy i have gotten a lot of yellow jackets and they are nasty bee's .They would rather sting you than leave you alone .I never understood just how bad they could be until the story in my local paper what happened to a 3 year old playing in the yard and ended up with 40 stings before the mom could get them off him .His mom was only a couple of feet from him and she got stung neighbor saw it and was watering and sprayed them or it could have been worse .So watch out

I do have to say that is a really pretty house and pond and porch you have there and know you must really enjoy working on it also Do you get all kinds of animals coming to visit you and your pond .I know coming from PA and knowing all the animals there it can be havoc on a pond ..Sorry for hijacking but had to add about the bees ,they are worse this year than ever .

Thank you for all the kind reviews!
MW yes i did post on American Ponders years ago. Just kind of drifted away.
As far as bees in the stone , NP so far. I do get some snakes living there. Thankfully we have no poisionus living near us.
We live near the edge of woods with many different animals near. They don't seem to bother much as there is a spring run and creek near our house. Just birds ,squirrels ,chipmunks, and our dog drinking from pond.

I am in Mckean county little town of Port Allegany near Bradford. Sometimes the coldest spot in nation just south of Buffalo NY. Some years plenty of cold and snow. I do believe there is some thing to this global warming. Winter seems to be less harsh each year and summers hotter and drier. Getting close to retirement age my self and dreaming about possibly going south in winter. One day at a time will know what lies ahead.

Well I came to VA and bought my lots first 3 of them 15 thousand for all 3 1 acre lots and the house 2440 sq ft. cost 65 thousand but now you can get houses here for less than 30 thousand on a couple of acres and depends how rural you want to be they can be less .I did not want a big change .I own a house on 12 acres also and paid 27 thousand last year for that ..Taxes are 366 on that and a thousand dollars on this house ,Great views sold me on these lots .If you go on the HUD sight there are lots of them listed here .I look back and do miss NJ .I guess it is me .I am in the rural area and most lots here are 1 acre and up to 5 acres ,but they have very little views from them .I use the danriverassociationofrealtors.com to find houses here .
