Meal worms don't live in water. They like damp, humidity but not drowning.Look like meal worms to me maybe a bit more aquatic than the ones around here but all the same.

if they are slightly crunchy feeling, they are kind of like fresh water coral, bryozoans. Alternately, if they are soft and moving, there are many types of worms/larvae in healthy ponds....Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone recognises these organisms and their waste. All of a sudden it’s all over my pond and equipment. They’re tiny at around 5-8mm.

Could well be! There's a lot of them dancing above the water surface

Yeah I realize that life usually equals good.if they are slightly crunchy feeling, they are kind of like fresh water coral, bryozoans. Alternately, if they are soft and moving, there are many types of worms/larvae in healthy ponds....
