Hanging plant pot idea

I want to have smaller plants or plant starts in the pond but didn't want a full size pot on bricks to get high enough to reach the surface.
I think this idea might work.
Extra piece of liner folded and sew the edges to make a pot and leave enough extra liner to hang over the edge of pond to secure it. Turn inside out to hide sewing job.

I punched holes for water flow.
I tried it in the pond and it looks like it will work but bigger than i wanted, for now.
Too dark now to take pictures.

The liner that hangs over the edge is same color so it blends in.

Very Inventive. Base on your idea, what do you think about one like a cup holder to hold a basket or pot?

I like that idea.

I did it this way mainly so it doesnt put pressure on my liner

That would let water flow through better.
