Just got a start with water gardening. I am using a large container for my little water garden. It's been in for 3 weeks now and is doing very well. I have a Perry's Baby Red water lily, a water mint, blue pickerel, a couple of water hyacinth, and a mosiac plant. Had my first bloom on the water lily 2 days ago. I know it's not a pond but it's been a thrilling experience for me. Looking forward to learning a lot here from the experts. If all continues to go well I would like to attempt a lotus in a container next spring.

Welcome to our group! Love the color of the lily, that is bright!

You will be tossing plants as the summer goes by!

Welcome. Very nice. Maybe throw in one small goldfish to eat mosquitoes that might want to lay eggs in your watergarden? A little bit of fertilizer from the fish won't hurt your plants!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I did add 5 mosquito fish to eat the larvae @CometKeith and today was the last day for the lily bloom but it did bloom for 5 days @sissy . New pad about to come up and the plant is growing well.

I'm loving your mosaic plant - it's not hardy in my zone, but I'm tempted to get one anyway! Welcome!

I like that Mosaic too. Is it a potted plant or a floating plant?
