Have you ever done this? When outside with several people, say, "Look! A dead bird!" Notice how many peeps will look up at the sky.......

Welcome Fellow Ohioan, I'm just alittle north of you in good ole "Hamiltucky" .
That pond is gorgeous, bet it was some back breaking work up under the deck like that.
If you go turtles, do your research. We have some yellow bellies and they have grow to the point they are eating our large goldfish. We also have paints and they only get 6-8" max and leave the fish alone.
