Hi My names Sian and im new to the world of garden ponds
Yesterday me and my parents went down to worldofwater in Romsey (hampshire) and we picked up 6 beautiful fish XD
we have got 3 Koi's and 3 Ghost Carp, one of which has lost a few of his scales but they are regrowing
we have a 6mx4m pond which has a waterfall feature running into it, my dad tested the PH in the water yesterday and he said it was okay to get some fish, we are quite new to owning fish so any tips on how to keep kois and ghost carp would be appreciated
my dad built the pond by himself, he rented out a digger and has dug it deep, he has bricks and stone peices at the bottom then covered by a thick layer of sand then the liner is ontop, and we have bamboo poles on the outside and he is going to build a Japenese style bridge to go over the top
i will get some pics of the pond but i dont know wether i can for the fish, i may be able to get one of 'Marmelade' the friendliest baby koi
and we may breed them when they are older
