Do a search on filters on this forum, and you'll come up with dozens of ideas and suggestions. If you want any help from people here, you'll need to be a bit more specific as to how big your pond is, how many fish, any pumps running, etc. No disrespect intended, but you probably should have researched filters prior to building a pond, and especially before adding fish. There are plent of store-bought filters you could use, but something I've recently started building for our pond is a 55 gallon skippy-style filter. Koiguy1969 has some really nice pictures and build plans in this forum for his. Check it out.... Good luck.

Oops - Koiguy beat me to the punch - sorry.

The filtration setup on our first pond was 100% DIY. Basically an upflow system consisting of several 55-gallon barrels daisy chained together. Worked extremely well for us for over 5 years before we finally upgraded to a commercial setup.

Before I even considered installing my pond, I spent weeks drawing diagrams of what kind of DIY filtration system I was going to build. That was before I found this forum. I have since changed and modified my filtration system several times for my pond. There is quite a bit of eye openning information here. Keep reading and keep asking questions. Your in the right place for what you need to know.

After reading everyone's comments about the Skippy filter, I made one following the instructions at the Skippy web site. It is great. However, I do not agree that it should NEVER be cleaned. I put in a center drain to dump the muck occasionally. With the help of 25 trap door snails, this pond has never been clearer. I left my pressure filter and waterfall filter in place, but wish I had never bought them, the Skippy filter should do everything they are doing and more. I will probably not claen those two anymore.
