If you get another Koi, I suggest making sure it is as large or larger than your existing Koi. A few small feeder fish may distract any snakes from the larger, harder to swallow Koi.
I used to cherry pick my goldfish for color from the pet stores. Some were every bit as colorful as most koi.

absolutely, dr dave. exspecially standing over a pond its real hard to tell them apart, somtimes the only time you can tell is when feeding from your hand. of course koi grow 3 times larger than goldies.
