I may be the only one making the silly mistake, but I just realized that the pond liner has two sides and maybe I am putting the wrong side towards the water. I called BTL liner and was told the shiny side (with UV protection) should face water. But unfortunately I did it the other way. It would be quite some trouble to reverse it. Wonder if any one has experience to share or advices. Thanks!

I installed HPDM. My fish enjoyed reading the words “fish safe.” If there was a right or wrong side, I never knew it. But I can’t speak for LDPE.

I had an btl liner and did the same mistake and it only lasted a copuple of years because of my mistake . it is a shame they never add that info to the liner . The liner rotted dried up and I had t go through taking it out and putting in a rubber liner which a dog fell in and destroyed that liner a couple of years later and had t buy anothe rubber liner . No fun but my mistake I paid for when it started to leak bad during a snow storm and I was out there running water into the pond from my basement tap from my well . I thought a hose leaked from a hose because weather had been i the 60's and over night went down to 30 and snow by midnight

Sorry about what happened to you. I just went through all the hassles to reverse the liner. Totally agree with you they should have put that info to the liner.

Glad you were able to do it. Good to know info for others who use that type of liner.
