We finally are finished digging and the ponds are in. The upper pond is raised 10" out of the ground, we have a small connecting pool, that cascades water into the larger lower pond. I figure there is about 425 gallons for all. The upper pond's outlets can't seem to handle all the water coming back into the pond from the filter, the outlets on the bio-filter are 1 1/4", and there are 2, the outlets on the upper pond are 1 1/2". I am using a pump that I had from a previous pond, it pumps 1250 gph, so I am thinking it is most likely over kill for this set up. Should we put in another outlet to the connecting pond or divert water from one of the filter returns for a stream bed and it so, would a stream look silly running along side of a raised pond? Thank you for any suggestions!!!!

Adding the extra outlet would be better for the pond and a lot less work
Make sure the outlet ends up big enough that leaves or such wont block it off
A pic would help us all
