I saw large nessie at the base of the 1000 gallon pond's waterfall. A lot of the new fish have been hanging out there, think they spawned, it was a swarm of small fish inhaling stuff off the rocks.

I followed as nessie swam over to the bog waterfall rock. Nessie is a lousy fisher. Swam around with its mouth open chasing the fast moving fish. So funny

Not real clear, I had just mucked up the pond working in the bog.

That is entertaining, the fish just dart around then just sit there while Nessie takes 30 seconds to turn around for another pass.

So it looks like Nessie is only going to catch those fish that aren't paying attention!

Survival of the fittest, but the snake can't eat a fish he didn't ask the fish if he could first, that's not right.

The main way they catch fish is to hang out in vegetation, wait for a fish to swim by and attack. I did catch them eating two fish last year, who knows how many I never saw. Both were little fish like 3ish inches.

When I was picking up the fish, she said to stick with smaller faster fish.

That makes sense to stick with the fast ones :) I wonder if a snake like that could eat one of my koi........do they just kind of gulp it down, taking their time?

Koi can move as fast as standard gold fish . I'd bet they were referring to is stay away from wiggle butts
