sask....i have 5 koi @ 17" - 20", theres i koi @ 6" from last years spawn, orange with black spots (sumi orenji). about 40 - 50 from this years spawn. and a 18 - 19" pieco.
the pondi is about 1200gals. my basement wintering pond is 800gals.

That is so neat looking seeing the babies with the adults, Ah and I see at least one good pic of my favorite baby!

I'm still not quite sure which one your so fond of there Fishin'..........?!?!?!

he likes one that is a black body with the gold or yellow head, bet he will pop on and show you the picture of the one he likes! Think it is the third picture up, from the bottom, in the last group fish on the left

Really nice looking pond, and wow! look at those hyacinths! Mine look like they belong on the compost heap. lol Love the arial shot with the green grass all around. And pretty fish and babies, too.

Btw, what is the round thing with the tubing? A pump/filter?

pinion ponder....thats a prefilter ...draws water from about 1 foot from the bottom and the waters clean and clear (no alge, dead plant matter, or pureed fish poop) before it even hits my pump let alone the biofilter. its an old tetrapond bio filter i reworked for this.it has 5 layers of filter pads inccluding an activated carbon pad for chemical filtration. my pump is just under the waters surface right next to the waterfall.

In the first group of pics, seventh picture down, top right hand side, he's almost solid black with a red/orange face, there are two that are very similar, but I like the one that is holding the most black.

oh...you like the big fat one...he was a toby..!!!
in a month or so, they'll be going to their winter home. i'll take some good pics then...small groups in the tote i use to transfer.
