I have seen these, but they are always shorter than I would like. How long is yours?

I have the same one as Dr. Case. It's 4' long overall. One of these days when I get ambitious I'm going to drill out the rivets that hold the snip end and the handle lever, and mount them on a 6' piece of aluminum conduit. A longer length of wire to connect the ends, and it will be a LOT more useful!

This is my DIY trimmer. It is a double edged razor blade sandwitched between two 1/4", hook shaped, pieces of plastic and attached to an 8' wooden closet pole. You just hook the leaf or flower stem and give it a short tug. The plastic protects everything bigger than 3/4" from the blade.
