Sacred Lotus in frozen pond

This is my first year growing lotus and I live in zone 6b. I planted it in a pot in my small pond and it is covered by about 6-10inches of water. Will my lotus survive? From what I’m reading, I should have taken my lotus out of the pond and stored it, so now I’m worried I’ve killed it

If the water has frozen solid, yes it is dead. If the tuber freezes it will die.

So it depends on how thick the ice is.

Don't give up on it! I have one in a 75 gallon preform pond that freezes every winter. It comes back every year.

If it still feels solid in the spring, good indicator it made it.
