Can i add Instant Oceans Salt to a pond?
I recommend you don't, The salt is not the best salt for plants, or goldfish, If you need to cut corners on buying salt use Ice cream salt. marine sea salts have buffers in it to increase the ph and hardness, it has minerals for corals and can be more hazardous than beneficial.

I did a little research and found this:
7. USING MARINE SEA SALTS IN FRESH AND BRACKISH
WATER AQUARIA
Instant Ocean can also be used in fresh and brackish
water aquaria. Many fish such as goldfish and livebearers do
better in water with a little salt in it. The salt concentration in
these tanks is usually 1 to 3o/oo (in contrast to NSW which is
28 to 35o/oo).
Brackish water aquaria have a salt content from 10 to
20o/oo, in general. Scats and some puffer do well in these
types of tanks. Instant Ocean is perfect for this application

I have a 90 Gallon Reef Tank, and use Instant Ocean Salt with great success.

Thank's

Hmmm, Guess I'm wrong then. I would agree with the fish, Plants I still question but then again I have questioned salt with aquatic plants for years but it doesn't seem to bother most. As for Instant Ocean sea salt and reef tanks I used it for many years and I don't think they will steer you wrong. That's a good company that has a major reputation to keep up in the Pet and Marine industry. Guess we never get get to old to learn something new?
