still feel like a noob

Well when I started my pond 2 springs ago, all went great through the summer. Got divorced that winter and didn't have the chance to do anything with it at startup except turn on the pump. Moved it to my new place the following summer. So now I'm coming up on my 1st spring. Pump is running, replanted the lotus, and waiting on water temp to get over 50.

Sounds like you are ship shape Oldhead and we are all waiting too right along side of you except for those lucky peeps in those nice warm tropical places who never get cold enough to freeze the b - - - 's off of anything

I sure hope so. the fertilizer is waiting for that steady 50 degree water

Funny think is, it just don't seem like work when you enjoy a pond the way ponders do. :surfing:

I like doing it but sometimes it can be a lot for one person as I have the land to take care of yard to mow and now just got a delivery of ten trees I have to plant .I got peach apple and cherry trees

My hubby works, the house yard and pond are mine to take care of, which I love doing! keeps the fat cells off this body lol

I do it all too by myself.........it was my idea, dug it all out w/ a shovel. Hubby did help me move the liner from the truck to the pond and I took over from there. Oh and he did help me get the rocks from the rock place. He does help me once in awhile getting free pond plants out and about in his underwear :lol:
