Me and hubby used to go fishing all the time. We have slacked off and need to get doing it again...............we keep saying.

I fished every chance I got when I was younger. Then I lost my fishing partner, an older brother-in-law, when he returned to the Ukraine for a visit. It hit me hard, as we were like brothers. I didn't touch a fishing rod for years, and gave away most of my gear. About ten years ago I bought some rods, reels, and whatever, but since then I've only tried it maybe ten times. Thirty-eight years last May, and I still can't get over it, but I have the memories!

Sorry you lost your best friend and BIL. Losing someone close is very hard and you never get over it, you just try to get on w/life and like you say remember the good times.
