Hi all.

New to the "pond scene" can someone identify these please newt spawn?

Only had a fountain pump in there and seen a newt yesterday in the water along with all these little things..

So been out today and bought an all singing all dancing filter pump!

Thanks we don't really have mosquitos (much) in the UK..

are they chironomid shrucks( midge pupae to you and me 0they come in various colours and sizes

Oh, that makes a bit more sense, would the newt be feeding on them then?
