What does everyone use for water conditioner to remove chlorine/chloramine?

For as long as I can remember, we've used Pondcare's Stress Coat plus ... first because it was what was available, and then, just habit. Since we just emptied another gallon, I need to order more, and thought this would be a good time to ask if something newer or better has come out....

My water is chlorinated so I either run it into to pond slowly, for the 1000+ above ground setup I aerate new water between changes so it is ready for the next change.

Sodium Thiosulfate has been on my wish list for a while. 1/2 ounce will remove 1 ppm chlorine from 1000 gallons of water. Handy thing to have on hand if you have a pond emergency and need to do a huge water change.

2.25 lbs of it is is $14 packaged as swimming pool dechlorinator, (Granular Sodium Thiosulfate) Not sure that is the best way to get it but it was the first reasonable I found just now.

When I was keeping goldfish in tanks I bough a gallon of stress coat. It was the last stuff I purchased. Unless the fish have a damaged slime coat why bother. Now if one has dangerous levels of heavy metals in the water then something that treats that is good. In all other cases I feel it is money down the drain.
