Did not know that and come to think of it I don't think we have fireflies around here.

Just saw my first firefly this season yesterday. Must be the kid in me but I really enjoy seeing them fly around and lighting up.

One of our neighbours set off a bunch of fireworks last night. We watched from an upstairs window, and could see all the fireflies going crazy, trying to outdo the fireworks!!

Very interesting article. Having been married 20 plus years the fact that the female firefly consumes the male is not totally different that our species!
