Bog in pond

I don't have filters or a uv, but what you have drawn up looks like it should work. The bog will waterfall into the pond, I assume.
I know you want to make sure the outlets are good sized, twice the input.

Are you putting in bottom drains in the filters to clean, drain the muck?

I could put in 1.5" bulkead for clean out, instead of doing the sump pump method.

I would do that if it was mine, in the past I had up flow type filters, long ago, always had a clean out port easy to back wash and flush. Or just open let the water pour out, with the water comes muck.
