Walmart has a brand called Special Kitty w/no additives except just 100% clay. They used to at least. Things change over time and I have not bought any recently.

That says it has odor control which means additives of some sort. Not sure that would be safe for the fish.
You only want 100% clay w/no deodorizers. Hope you have a cat you can use it for instead cuz I think this will kill your fish!

@420benz - do you have a dollar store nearby? We've had good luck buying it there in the past. Just generic clay cat litter. Or our grocery store occasionally has it too in big 50 lb bags for a good price.

Tractor supply had some at one time that was pure clay. Not sure if they still do. It was by paws and claws, clay no scent litter

I really don't want to leave the house to go to Walmart. So I found this on Amazon but it has a deoderizing system. Is thst a problem?

If it has any additive, do not use it. Dollar stores carry pure clay litter. Check the bag for additives.

My Walmart showed they had it in stock, but when I got there , they didn't have it. Fortunately they had another brand of pure clay litter in 7 lb bags, so my trip was still successful !

You can order the Special Kitty from Walmart to make sure it will be there but you have to pick it up at the store as they will not deliver it. Just wear a mask and gloves and stay 6 feet away at the pick up desk. Oh and bring your sanitizer w/you too. Do not use a kitty litter that has anything except 100% clay and not deodorizers or anything else added.
