Check valve and quick release?

That check valve will work, but it’s probably not the one you want as it’s spring driven. Specs say it needs 1.5psi to open, which means it will add about 3.5’ of head for your pump to overcome.

Look for a swing-only check valve. Or you could try removing the spring from the one you posted. Might still work.

Not sure what you mean by “quick release.” Do you mean a union fitting?

I used one of these in 2” and its working perfectly.

Thanks so much - all your comments are helpful. Yes, I just want a union fitting to get pump out easily, and I’ll look for a swing check valve
