That's a really nice looking pond! Nice clean look. You have good taste in pond design! One suggestion I would make for you on future builds, Your skimmer is really to close to the water fall, It should be at the opposite end of the pond from the falls so that all the water is swept through the pond from the water fall to the skimmer. This reduces the chance for dead spots and low oxygen areas in the pond and it actually sweeps the leaves and trash better. The first skimmer I put in I did the same way and someone showed me where it should have been placed. Once I saw one done at the opposite end of the pond from the waterfall I saw how much more it was clearing from the pond and could see the benefits more clearly. It's all part of the learning curve. Is there anything in the far end of that pond to help circulate water there? If not a good airstone at that end will help move water at that end, Help lift suspended matter and push it back toward the skimmer. Don't mean to criticize your build, just giving pointers, It really does look nice!!

Very nice...all except the skimmer is way to close to the falls to do much good!...they should almost always be at opposite ends of pond. the way it is recirculates and filters alot of water that was just filtered. drawing from opposite ends recirculates the whole pond.

No I definitely appreciate any and all suggestions, especially if this is something I want to do for a living and thanks for the compliments as well. With each pond I install I learn more and more. Thanks again!!

Are you sure you don't already do it for a living? That is beautiful.

Also with the skimmer, if possible put it at the end of the pond downwind from the dominate wind flow. That really helps pick up the floating junk along with the waterfall movement.

That was a great post, kl. Liked the music along with vido---your doing? if so you da geek man. Your pond build looked smooth & finished neat. My skimmer is also too close to the waterfall so I have an aerator @ the other end till I can get the thing moved. Build & learn.

This is my 3rd pond and I am very happy with the results.

I actually just got another job installing a pond-less waterfall. I will make sure to post pics.

Yeah I put the slideshow and music together haha thanks....

It did go very smoothly. We did it in 2 days, which was hard work trust me. The more I build the more I learn, which isn't a bad thing, but when I own a house I will hopefully have it down. Till then everything else is just trial and error.

Thanks,

Kyle

Yeah, the name of the artist is Jason Mraz. Unfortunately he doesn't have any other songs with the same style.

I figured it was a pretty chill song and when I am around my pond I like to chill...so it sounded good to me haha.
