Has anyone seen or dealt with this kind of algae before? It's very gelatinous, comes off the rocks easily, and creates bubbles when you disturb it. I'm trying to figure out what it is and how best to deal with it. It's in a 24000 gal pond built in 2016. Has a skimmer and bottom drain, aquadyne bead filter, under gravel perforated piping return and 6 return points around the perimeter. Also has 6 airstones around the perimeter. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

that is normal and is protecting your fish from to much nutrients in the water .I just remove it or if you don't feed your fish they will eat it all .I just stop feeding for a week and amazed how much the fish eat from it .

Welcome @DerekJ ! Your pond is so pretty!

Algae is interesting stuff, isn't it? In all it's various forms it's basically kind of all the same - it's there because of what's in the water.

It looks to me like Nostoc, a cyanobacteria. (sometimes called blue green algae)
It lives off of excess nutrients so you might want to increase your water circulation and filtration.

Thanks.
There's a variable speed pump so I'll start turning it over more and get some more plants packed in there.
