You might remember a while back me mentioning I saw a couple of guppies in the pond and was wondering how they got there. There were a few possibilities. Anyway, after a while did not see them. Didn’t think another thought. When I drained the pond 2 weeks ago, I saw movement at the bottom. Grabbed the net and swooped em inside to the 175. Didn’t really look til last night. “Those aren’t guppies!”. Two beautiful baby comets.

Early this summer I was able to catch a few koi fry- about 1 inch in size. I moved them to various stock tanks that I have lilies in. They all had been moved back to ponds but I kept one and the last time I saw it, it was almost 3". I went to empty the tank today and the koi is gone. I'm guessing a bullfrog got him. As I dumped the tank, something wiggled on the ground, thought it was tadpoles. 4 koi fry, 2" long and some pretty colors too. Have no idea how they got in there.

Mystery solved! I remember your post and it led to all sorts of fun conjecture. Everything from acrobatic guppies to UFO implants. Thanks for solving the X File!

This thread reminds me of when I had aquariums. One day a tiny little baby appeared in my Frontosa tank. I had no idea how it got there and it could't have been its baby for she was alone in the tank...more intriguing was the fact that the Frontosa didn't eat the little fish, which turned out to be a rainbow fish.
My guess an egg got stuck on the siphon tube I used to clean the tanks and that's how the little baby managed to end up in a different tank
