Has anyone started up their lotus yet?

I have already divided my overwintered lotus into a few tubers and potted one of them 2 weeks ago since it seemed like the weather was warming up, but it has been inconsistent. The low temperatures range anywhere from the low 40s to mid 50s and the highs from mid 50s to mid 60s. I had one aerial stem shoot up but the top half is starting to droop down and looks like it’s dying. I have a floating leaf stem still growing but hasn’t opened yet. Did I start too early?

I have a few of the extra divided tubers hanging out in a bucket of water in my garage in case this one doesn’t make it

My lotus has seven small stems growing right now. My lily hasn’t reached the surface but is trying. We’ve had an unusually cold spring here.

I just had my 2nd round of growth shoots also show signs of potentially not making it either. So far, not so good. Temperatures are still inconsistent and all over the place. I'm somewhat discouraged since it's my first time dividing and potting a tuber

My big one in the 75 gallon preform has leaves coming up. All my other large pots have nothing showing. I had a kiddy pool with seedings out all winter and only one out of 12 made it. I'm surprised because the were frozen solid.

Here’s a visual of my dwarf lotus at the moment. The 1st round of growth shoots came in around early April and withered away. The 2nd round of growth shoots came in soon after around mid-April and are slowly dying. I was hoping that the leaves would get the chance to open but doesn’t seem like that will be the case. And yesterday I noticed a new growth tip coming up through the middle. Low-temperatures below 50 should be gone by next week and it will be getting warmer so hopefully my lotus will pull through
