The first attempt with hyacinth, yellow, dead, tossed. Years ago. Bought two plants when I picked up the fish.

I have never seen them bloom like this! Beautiful!

That really seems to be how it goes with water hyacinth. Some years it's awesome, other years it's pretty lackluster. Last year we had an amazing amount of blooms. This year, while it's multiplying like crazy, we've only had a handful of flowers early in the season. (big shrug!!)

They are the oddest plants... same pond, same conditions and they will do whatever the heck the want! Glad you've having a good year with them @addy1 !
