OK so I have a new fence that spans probably 20 feet across the part that I know the herons were coming in on. Plus I added a couple of these jammers near the only spot they can really enter that’s logical. In the one spot that they can enter that still left it’s very narrow and I can booby trap the hell out of it.

It’s been at least two weeks I would say since my koi/goldfish have eaten their food and I’ve seriously mitigated the threat and just now my big boy Chonk Just started eating and some of the others are coming up too. It’s almost like he knew I built a fence and that he’s safer because I literally finished the thing last night.

Latest update, all fish are eating. Today was the first day that that happened in the close to three weeks since they were spooked by a heron. That fence is just a phase 1. I have a bit more fencing to put up and then I’m going to make a gate to fully seal it in.

I want to thank all of you guys who contributed I really do appreciate it!

Hi I’m glad your fish are eating. I’m sure they were scared and that out rules hunger! I had a similar experience. We were visiting a nature area in South Africa and stopped for lunch. Well it was very hard to eat because our guide told us there had been a large adult lion spotted close to where we had stopped. He was guarding the area with a rifle, but that was probably the worst lunch I ever ate. I would have gladly skipped it out of fear we would be someone else’s lunch!
