Lotus bloom

My native Lotus opened it's first bloom of the year today.

Ahhhhhhhhhh,lovely! So these grow out it the wild in your area.............how nice!

We used to eat the seeds when I was a kid. They taste pretty good if you take the green sprout out of the middle. The sprout is very bitter.

Mine are just pushing leaves up, with our cold april all slowed down.

Wow, m-man maybe that's why you are able to grow them so nicely! You became one w/ the lotus,lol!

I was wondering how she got through the hard shell but i guess since those are green they are soft.I wonder how stomach ache was after all that taste testing .Guy was smart let her go first .lol
