Hi All
I am just starting to build my Koi pond.
It will be 3m x 3m x 1.2 deep, mostly above ground.
It will be constructed using reinforced concrete blocks. I would like some advice on how to finish the interior.
Do I use a pond liner inside the concrete blocks or render finish the inside and then apply a good waterproof paint.
Any advice would be appreciated

Welcome to our forum!

There are members that have build block ponds they will chime in as to how the finished them. I would think you could go either way, the liner won't wear out.

Your pond is about 2400 gallons, US, that could support 2-3 koi with excellent filtration etc. The rule of thumb for koi is 1000 gallons for the first one. They do spawn a lot and create a lot of babies. Koi can grow to 2 feet in size rapidly

Personally I would go for shubunkins, they are very pretty, easy to care for.
These are some of mine.
