My kids never had computers growing up............they played in the woods and tried to kill each other making traps and other fun things. My hubby was the first in our home to get one of those computers. It was when they used dos. I knew nothing about them and did not see the interest in them at all. He kept trying to push them on me and I refused for years and then one day I broke, caved in, bit the bullet and now look what I've got myself into. Can't live w/o it. Gosh we can now do everything w/ them from learning a foreign language to building a pond, enjoying friends we may never meet in real life, shopping, paying bills, storing our photos, watching tv shows, movies, read books and numerous etc. things of no value whatsoever included. What have we created :jawdrop:

Same thing with my wife. She didn't know a thing about computers and hardly ever used her first one, which I don't even remember why I bought for her. It had Windows ME, if you can remember that. Now she has a smart phone, iPad and desktop and she is online all the time!

Yep, remember the days when the family used to go out and throw a ball or go for a walk in the park, go for a drive, visit at the neighbors, watch a little boob tube, have dinner together and read a book? Now we are lucky if we recognize our own children that have been locked up in their rooms for days of playing video games.................ya gotta wonder what the future will look like after we are gone

We still do that. My son really likes athletics. When he goes over to his buddies, they play outside for for 2/3 of the time and spend only 1/3 of the time with video games! During summer we bike a lot and bring a baseball and gloves to throw around. My daughter however is like her Mom and doesn't like sports.
