Hi ya'll. I'm a newbie here. My granny's place has an old dead pond, so I'm up to put some life to that. Looking forward to get some ideas here on how to get started and maintain it. Thanks all.

Welcome to our group!

Take some pictures and tell us size and everything else you know about it. We can help you better that way.

Welcome, and yes, this is the place to be to learn. Sizes of the pond will tell us how much water roughly it will hold, which determines pump size, and the amount of fish it can hold. If it’s empty, mostly empty, let us know shape, sizes, etc. what it’s made of. Like if it’s an old earth pond like for cattle. Plastics tend to get holes, deteriorate in the sun, so one with plastic form or a liner may need a test fill to look for leaks.

Hi Chanda! I’m reviving an old pond as well. I can’t wait to see your photos!
