You were so very lucky. I have a friend who lost a son to a tractor roll over. Be very careful. It can very well be deadly.

LOL, yes Todd, That's just one of TWO more that I'm putting in. That one is more for what ever animals are back there to have drinking water and to help stop some of the washing. however I am thinking of adding some catfish to it. The other one is a shallow pond up on the hill. Planning on making it a place to raise aquatic plants next year. Then planning on building a greenhouse and some ,more ponds there. LOL Think we are going to call the farm the PONDerosa. LOL BTW, keep in mind there are also two more swamp ponds and the property line is a small river/creek.

keeping close tabs on it. have to work today but will be working on the pond overflows and clearing out some of the dead branches that are close to buildings tomorrow. hopefully we can get all the flagstone installed and grouted in before it hits. As long as it stays below cat.2 we will be riding this one out.

TM, we are just north of lake Pontchatrain. About 1.5 hours north of the gulf, about 45 miles north of New Orleans. This house has been through several hurricanes. No chance of flooding, minimal trees to worry about. have generator, going this evening to get some hurricane supplies before the rush starts. mainly need charcoal, some fresh batteries, a few tanks of gas, ( always need it with equipment anyway) and a few can goods. I've gotten pretty used to getting ready for these. I've only stayed through two, This one is looking like it might get to Cat. 2, unless it's a direct hit or just to our west (Which is showing less and less likely) we shouldn't have much problem. Minnowman (Gary) is a LOT closer to the gulf than we are!
