Hello, I am new to the group and first time posting in a forum of any kind. seeking some of advice on what to do with two of my pond plants. One is a bullrush not sure of the other one. I had a duck in my pond that picked away at the top of a couple of my plants and the roots are exposed. I am not sure how to fix it. Pictures provided of the two plants and a picture of my pond:). Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome!

OK, I’m the last person to give advice when it comes to plants, but those look extremely root-bound to me. Maybe it’s time to repot some, or plant directly into the pond (a bog area would be nice). Ducks will be ducks.

Agree with @Mmathis on this one - they need to be divided. As for covering the roots - more dirt or some gravel is fine. The plants will bounce back.

and Welcome @LGQUENNE

Might need to take a saw to that pot to get that Bull Rush out! Can't really tell tho if it is in a pot? Time to transplant all the plants into bigger pots. I like to use 100% clay kitty litter w/o chemicals and fragrance free. I get mine from Walmart. Called Special Kitty. Comes in big bags.
Your pond is very pretty and so clear!

Welcome to the forum!

Root bound plants, they will not die , the roots are under water.
