Hello. Has anyone has luck buying water lily seeds and getting them to grow? Or is it better to just buy a full grown plant? Thanks.

Some folks here offer tubers for the cost of postage when they divide their plants in spring. Just keep checking the site and you will find them.

I've seen poeple try to grow lotus from seed - it can take years and is seldom successful. I've not seen anyoen try it for waterlilies, but as you mentioned they are extremely easy to propagate from tuber. If you know anyone who has any, they will be thrilled to share iwth you when they re-pot in the spring. Offer to help and you'll both learn and get some free plants!
